Category of Service: General Help

This category includes agencies that have needs that may cross over into several areas of interest and are broad in nature. For instance, disaster relief agencies touch all types of people with a variety of needs. Governmental and general counseling organizations also reach a diverse constituency. Volunteers may help in offices for instance, or be called on "as needed", such as disaster relief opportunities (after proper training, of course). Individuals or groups may also serve as advocates for an agency's cause.

Many of these agencies have a more detailed description in our 2005 Social Service Directory.

We want our agencies to know our website is a valuable resource so they'll continue to seek our assistance. So, if you contact one of the following organizations by link or phone, please indicate that you heard about them from The Volunteer Center of New Trier Township. It would be nice if you would let us know, too. You can do that easily with this e-mail link: volunteerNTT@aol.com. Or phone us at: 847-441-7665.
