They need: - 2/25/08– The Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago has openings for Long Term Care Ombudsmen, who advocate with or on behalf of elders in nursing homes to ensure they are treated with respect, receive quality care, and are free to exercise self-determination. Ten hours of training are provided. The obligation is one one-hour visit per week, with a commitment of two years. The service area is suburban Cook County and all of Lake County (Illinois).
