The Volunteer Center helps residents and service groups in N. E. suburban Cook County
volunteer or engage in days of service and service learning programs
with 501C3 non-profit organizations and schools in metropolitan Chicago and beyond.
The Winnetka Alliance for Early Childhood sponsors TV Tuneout to encourage K-5th graders to turn off the screen and do something productive. The Volunteer Center is hosting service activities in conjunction with TV Tuneout from 3:45 PM to 5 PM on March 10th and 11th. Projects include making comfort bags for the children of Haiti and alphabet books for children in shelters. Reservations are required and limited.
