Raise Awareness and Money w/PetCo:
June 27 through July 31 is PetCo's National Spay/Neuter Drive. Spay and Stay will have representatives in the Vernon Hill, Highland Park and Lake Zurich stores at various times in July educating the public about trap-neuter-return. A portion of the stores proceeds and donation will go to Spay and Stay. Please stop in one of these PetCo stores during June and July.

Since our inception in 2003, Jazz for Peace has awarded our acclaimed fund, publicity and awareness-raising Empowerment Grant to over 700 outstanding organizations. Crafters Needed for Dec 4 Holiday Fundraiser:
Spay & Stay is looking for crafters and merchants for the 4th annual Holiday Boutique on Dec 4. Contact Julie Wheeler @ wheeler.julie@comcast.net.
Vernon Hills supports Trap-Neuter-Return:
The Village of Vernon Hills has approved a grant for outreach and financial assistance to residents who spay/neuter homeless cats through Spay & Stay. The grant will pay the $25 co-pay for residents who are unable to afford the surgery.
Consortium Brings Gardner and Nieto:
As part of its fundraising effort, the Illinois Consortium for 21s Century Learning Skills will provide a year long series of two way video conferences. Harvard Psychologist Howard Gardner and Multi-Cultural expert Sylvia Nieto will headline the series. This summer, cognitive psychologist Reuven Feuerstein will speak from Jerusalem with audiences in mutliple locations throughout Chicagoland. The Consortium seeks an intern or adult volunteer who knows SKYPE to help with set up and operation of the series. For information, contact Sue Segal at the Consortium.
