| Volunteer on Your Day Off with The Kindness Connection - Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service - 1/18/10: |
| "Everyone can be great. Because everyone can serve." - Martin Luther King Jr. The Kindness Connection is back at the Winnetka Park District with another fun and meaningful volunteer event on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 18, 2010. Join us in the Community room (540 Hibbard Rd. Winnetka IL 60093) to use your hands and hearts to make coasters, key chains, and placemats for Habitat for Humanity and flip flops, preschool books, and tote bags for Reading Tree and an organization in Rwanda that supports women and children who survived the genocide. There will be two time slots to volunteer: 10am-12 noon and 1-3pm. The Kindness Connection charges a $5 fee per participant in order to cover materials and administrative costs. Volunteers can pre-register through the Winnetka Park District (online and through the winter brochure) or contact info@thekindnessconnection.org. |
