Volunteer Ability Forum (March 18, 2009) - In collaboration with New Trier Township. This program was designed to help nonprofits host individuals with different abilities as volunteers.  

Service Symposium I (October 16, 2009) and Service Symposium II (March 23, 2010) - Co-hosted by the Winnetka Community House, with additional suppot from the Woman's Club of Evanston.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Since 2008, the Volunteer Center has co sponsored a Day of Service and Inspiration with Interfaith Housing Center to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  Held on the nationally recognized holiday in January. The Harris Bank has been the sponsor for three years and a total of 1200 people have attended in 2008,  2009, and 2010.

Service Learning at New Trier Township Schools (Public, Private, and Parochial) - The Volunteer Center helps teachers identify valuable, ongoing service projects throughout the year. The program is extending beyond traditional volunteerism and encouraging the service learning process of need identification, project execution and reflection. Students become the catalysts for change. Also see the High School and Junor boards above.

TV Tune-Out – The Winnetka Alliance for Early Childhood - The Volunteer Center organizes social service projects for Winnetka and Northfield children in lieu of television viewing for one week in March. Projects range from feeding the homeless to making items for seniors.

The American Red Cross - The Volunteer Center has signed an agreement to work with the Red Cross to handle spontaneous volunteers in theevent of a disaster, and to act as intake counselors for those volunteers.

The Volunteer Centers of Illinois (VCI) - The Volunteer Center is a member of this group of executive directors representing volunteer centers across the state. The group meets monthly and works collectively to promote volunteerism and support each other's work. The VCI provides volunteer management workshops and other resources to the volunteer community. There are currently 16 volunteer centers represented.

Backyard Nature Center (BYNC) - We partner with BYNC to connect with service groups.

New Trier Township (NTT) - As an agency that receives grant money from NTT, the Volunteer Center is collaborating with the North Shore Senior Center and New Trier High School to focus on intergenerational programming.
